Kist, explains about Facebook and how we use it as an education source in the schools. I myself have Facebook with friends and some old high school teachers now, but to have a Facebook and speak to your teachers does not seem professional to me. In the future I'm sure this debate will not even be controversial because there will ether be laws placed or we will have bigger problems with new types of communicating. However, I think Facebook is a great way to talk about projects with your group but to incorporate this in a classroom seems hard. I understand that it is all monitored and you can have it so only the class can be on the site but it seems like so much stress to be putting on the instructor. Yet in chapter five Kist makes it seem liked we need to adapt to how the student is learning and what they are interested in which made me feel we need to adapt as an educator and school. So, what to incorporate and how to present this to a class while keeping safety and a profession needs to be a priority.

What I learned:Week EIght:Nov.12-18
In class this week I had to come up with a cool digital tool to present to the class for Monday. I looked all over the web to find the most perfect sight. Then I asked my boyfriend for advice because he will be graduating from Grove City College in December to be a teacher. He showed me pollseverwhere.com this is the coolest sight I have ever seen. This sight is like others I have seen presented to the class however this is a free sight and you can do open ended questions in your poll or you can do multiple choice and you can also have pictures. You do not need a remote nor do you need to pay anything as long as you do not have more then 40 people use it at one time.

What I learned: Week Seven: Nov.5-11
I am an education major and this week we learned how to make a rubric to create tests for our students. There are two different types which I did not know until now. The first one is how we can use an essay test format and have the kids use there own creative knowledge and write what they got out of the class. This is forcing the students to recall information. We then have the second which is where we make a multiple choice test and they have to chose the correct answer that should be visible to them or at least be able to give them a 50% chance if they tried in class because they should be able to mark off two of the choices. When we create the multiple choice test we should give them four options that sound realistic. However, the incorrect answers are what we call "distractors" we need to be able to have them pick the correct option. So, our teachers create our tests on the bases of these two different types of test making options. There is of course also the true and false and binary options but we do not normally give these to students very often because of the high percent they have of just simply guessing the answers.
Class Reading: Week Seven:Nov. 5-11
The Kist
book brought up some points that I found valuable. I found this
chapter to be particularly challenging however because so many people keep telling me to get rid of my Facebook and such because when I am a teacher it will only bring harm to myself. Students are very intelligent in the computer world today and can hack things very easily. I like social media but students will not use this correctly at all times, we will always have a group of students who are simply negative influences and will create problems and ruin this for the class. Liz, thought this would be a good way for students to speak to each other and do homework outside of school. However, this is not a good idea students do not want to do work in school let alone outside and they may not have the sources to use technology at home. This as far as I am concerned is not the best way to teach students all the time. I know using things like Facebook for students would get them interested but it may not be the way that they can learn or have the ability to do outside the class. I still have my Facebook account but accounts are created easily and I know the dangers of people changing the information and even speaking to my future students through that would not be me but would make me look bad. Technology is very valuable and is created to advance us, however many times such as a young classroom may only bring negatively. I feel that we should incorporate some technology of course because students do not want to get to college and be so far behind other students, yet, in our class we are responsible for our students and need to keep a close observation of what they do, say, and create under our time.
